FPCNTRVV>4-A Fire Protec Control Valves (>4" ) Interior Water Sys - Annual

                                                       Man Hours .5
Special Instructions:

The work required by this procedure may cause the activation of an alarm and/or a
supervisory signal. Tamper switches may be provided. (See FPFSUPSIGTST-Q). The
office manager and the control center or fire department that will receive
the alarm and/or signal must be notified prior to start of work. When a valve is
left unattended in a position which will interrupt fire protection water supply,
special procedures must be complied with. Most fire system control valves are
normally in the open position. If a valve is found closed at the time of the
inspection, confirmation must be obtained through the buildings manager's office
on the proper normal valve position. This work should be done when other
scheduled maintenance is being performed that involves water flow through
valve(s). (See Insp. FPACHKVV-A, FPDRYPPDLGE-M, & FPFPSTINDW-A). Review
manufacturer's instructions.
