Special Instructions:

1.  Check trap operation under steam pressure.
2.  Remove and replace faulty traps or trap elements.


Items to Check & Initial Completion:

1.  Thermostatic traps.  (Bellows or diaphragm type)
    a.___ Remove cap or bonnet.
    b.___ Clean interior of trap, valve, and seat.
    c.___ Inspect bellows and diaphragm and note by sound whether it contains
          liquid charge.
    d.___ Replace bellows or diaphragm as necessary.
    e.___ If valve seat is cut, replace seat.

2.  Float and/or thermostatic traps.
    a.___ Remove bonnet.
    b.___ Inspect linkage and float operation for leakage, defective operation or
          deterioration.
    c.___ Examine, clean, and check operation of bellows as in 1 above.

3.  Inverted bucket trap.
    a.___ Remove bonnet
    b.___ Clean interior or trap.
    c.___ Inspect valve linkage mechanism and seating of valve.
    d.___ Examine condition of bucket.
    e.___ Examine vent or face, inlet and outlet for evidence of corrosion.

4.  Impulse trap.
    a.___ Remove bonnet
    b.___ Inspect valve disc, inlet valve, outlet outface.
    c.___ See that fulcrum point is free of dirt.
    d.___ Clean body of trap.

1.  Standard Tool Kit
    Plus Pipe wrenches to 24"
         Tubing cutters
         Flaring tool
         Small acetylene outfit
         Packing tool kit and packing
         3/4" socket set
         Crescent wrenches to 14"
