Whether you choose to run under NetworkService or an application pool identity, you must make sure that the identity's login name has permission to read/write the folder that contains MainBossWeb files. For example, suppose you installed the files in

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\MainBossWeb

Then you must give the identity permissions on this folder. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Use Windows Explorer to locate the folder that contains the MainBossWeb files.
  2. Right-click on the folder name; in the resulting menu, click Properties.
  3. In the Security tab of the resulting window, click the Edit button.
  4. In the resulting window, click Add.
  5. In the resulting window, under "Enter the object names to select", enter Network Service (with a space between the words) or else the application pool identity.
  6. Click Check Names to have Windows verify the specified name.
  7. Click OK to return to the previous window.
  8. With the appropriate name selected, click "Full control" in the list of permissions.
Keep clicking OK until you return to Windows Explorer.
