Create a folder which will hold all the files required to support the web site. By default, IIS runs from a folder named C:\inetpub; therefore, you might run MainBossWeb from a subfolder called

C:\inetpub\wwwroot\MainBossWeb

You obtain the MainBossWeb software by downloading it from our mainboss.com web site. Follow the instructions on the web page to download the necessary files and to copy them to an appropriate folder.

In setting up IIS, follow Microsoft's documentation. Considerable differences exist between the various Windows systems that might be used. For a discussion of IIS configuration, see

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178477.aspx

The above web page contains links that explain how to start the IIS manager on supported versions of Windows.

Note: The rest of this appendix applies to set-up and configuration using IIS 7 or 7.5 on Windows Server 2008 (SP2 or R2).
