The TC verb engages the trace mechanism using the trace type and the address range(s) specified on the last T command. However, it does not reset the trace statistical counters (in particular, the map). It does turn off trace output queuing (the Q command).
It is particularly useful when you have entered a complex trace command then turned off tracing and wish to restart the trace after encountering a breakpoint.
