NEWS - changes in version 3.4 of SS mode C.
06/Jan/00 Changes in scanf
The +18BitShorts option now affects "scanf" and related functions. If the
option is in effect, arguments corresponding to placeholders like "%hd" should
be pointers to 18-bit short integers.
29/Jun/98 Additions to C Lib
In accordance with the latest working draft of the ANSI standard, the following changes
have been made:
- The "%a" and "%A" formats have been added to "printf" and
related functions to support the output of floating point numbers in hexadecimal format.
- "scanf" and related functions support a new "%a" format for reading
"%a" and "%A" values written by "printf". The
"strtod" function also supports the new format.
- The "snprintf" function has been added. This is similar to "sprintf"
but lets you specify a maximum length "n".
