The best introduction to using batch under GCOS-8 is the guide obtained with "expl batch guide".
You can build files of control cards in TSS using any text editor (e.g. FRED). Such files can be sent off to batch using the JRN command. Other commands are available to permit you to monitor the progress of your batch job and to inspect the results at a TSS terminal. See "expl batch index" for commands applicable to the batch world.
