PC - purge catalog (erase and release).

Usage:

acce pc catname

Description:

The PC function of ACCESS deletes a catalog from your file structure. Before releasing the catalog entry itself, ACCESS first deletes all the files and catalogs subordinate to the catalog being deleted and returns the freed space to the system.

Before releasing any file, the PC function first overwrites it with zeroes, in order to obliterate any sensitive information contained in the file.

Notes:

Purging a large catalog may take a long time. Consider doing selective purge file command on just the files that contain sensitive data, and then using release catalog (RC) instead of purge catalog.
