A quick biography of Anita Kilgour

(or everthing you never wanted to know (gods, a truly old picture)

Let's see..born May 12, 1967 in the booming town of Rockingham, Nova Scotia, Canada (population something like 2,000...so maybe booming isn't the right word. Moved around a lot before ending up in southern Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Lovely town. Lots to do, especially if you like to drink beer. The largest Octoberfest outside of Germany. Which is why I spend a hell of a lot of time during a two week period in October anywhere other than Kitchener. <g>

Currently working for Thinkage Ltd.

I attended university (for all of two years ... working on that now) at the University of Waterloo in 1985 and '86. I'm currently working on 'boning' up enough to be able to make it back into the university, either in Mathematics or Biology. Hard sciences facinate me. Don't expect any major miracles.   I'm beginning to hate the phrase "as we all remember."

That probably explains my husband, Paul. He's was an aerospace engineering student at Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana, USA. (For those not paying attention, that means he's a rocket scientist.) He's recently finished his PhD. Now we find him a job. If you have any suggestions on where a brilliant fellow with PhD in aerospace engineering, specialising in materials sciences, please email us at akilgour@thinkage.on.ca.

Latest in this stunning life is the fact that Paul and I have finally gotten around to getting married and are starting our lives as a married couple...even if we do keep looking at each other and going, "What have we just done...." ;-)

November 28, 1997:

Well, Paul's working now. Has been for almost two months.  He's working for the NRC, of all places and from all accounts, having a great time.  Which is good for me, cause a happy sweetie is a fun sweetie.  <g>

Still amazingly busy with theatre and looking forward to continuing to be so for the foreseeable future...if anyone has any suggestions for really good, funny comedy, please let me know.  I am beginning to really enjoy directing farce...

January 26, 2000:

Well, an update about every three years, not so terribly bad. <g>

Paul's still with the NRC, I'm still with Thinkage.  I'm also working for a company called Desktop Innovations Inc, and have been with them since the beginning of '98.  Survived the Y2-Yawn.  Both Paul & I are on the board of directors for the Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre, which sucks a fair bit of free time away.

To horrify & terrify the world, we're trying to have a kid. No luck so far, but here's hoping...

That's pretty much it.  Busy, happy, reasonably healthy, and busy. <g>
