Z - Zap the address.

Syntax:

Z

Description:

Z sets the current line pointer ".". If you specify an address, Z sets the current line pointer to that line. Otherwise, Z leaves "." where it is (which means Z does nothing). This is the equivalent of a "no-op" in a programming language.

Many other commands have names made up of Z followed by another letter. These are known as zap commands. Because of the possibility of confusion, there must be a space, tab, or new-line character immediately following the Z of the Z command.
