= - Print line address.

Syntax:

=

Examples:

=
$=

Description:

= displays the line number of an address. If you do not specify an address, FRED prints the line number of the current line ".". If an address is given, FRED prints the line number of that line.  For example, $= prints the number of the last line in the buffer.

= does not change the value of ".". This means that you can use $= to find out how many lines are in the buffer without leaving the current line.
